Halloween Fun at Saint Mary's – October 31, 2018

We will have a School Spirit Day on October 31, 2018.  Halloween fun at Saint Mary’s will begin when we gather for an assembly and parade of costumes. Some classes have some in-class Halloween activities that they will be doing throughout the day.  Students may come dressed in their Halloween costumes or they may choose to wear black and orange.

 Costume Guidelines:

  • Masks that obscure vision should be left at home
  • Excessive make-up may cause irritation if worn all day
  • Fake blood makes too much of a mess at school so needs to be left at home
  • Props such as swords, knives, axes, guns, and other weapon related paraphernalia are not permitted
  • Shoulders must be covered with a costume that is at least 5 cm wide (as per our dress code)
  • Garment length must not be any shorter than your mid thigh, and shouldn’t be any longer than your child’s ankles (tripping hazard)
  • You may want to do a “scaled down” version of your child’s costume as he/she will be wearing it for the day. Please clearly label all parts of your child’s costume.

Halloween Treats Reminders:

Just a reminder, that we do have some students in our school with life threatening nut allergies.  Please do not send Halloween treats to school unless they are clearly marked as being nut-free.  Thank you for keeping all of our students safe.

Thank you!
