Bags2Schools Textile Collection May 2-3, 2016

Hi All
This spring Saint Mary School will once again be collecting textiles for the Bag2School organization. Clean items such as sheets, blankets, shoes, belts, clothing, stuffed animals, curtains, and purses can be collected and brought to school in a sturdy garbage bag. These bags will be weighed and then brought to Toronto where they will be sorted, organized and then sent off to places where they are needed. We receive money based on the total weight of the bags that are collected.
For the last four years, Saint Mary School has had a great deal of success with this fundraiser. We have raised some money but more importantly we have helped reduce the amount of garbage sent to the landfill, reduced the amount of textiles in our homes, and have shared what we have with others.
Please help us out again this year by collecting a bag or two (or more) of items. We are very short of space at Saint Mary's School so please do not drop your bags off until May 2nd or 3rd - we don't have any place to store the bags! The truck arrives on May 4th to weigh and transport the items.
