Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year

Greetings everyone:
A warm Saint Mary's School welcome to all of our new and returning families and staff.
A few notes for the beginning of school...
First Day Gr. SK-8
Students in Gr. 1-8 will gather in the back yard and students in SK will go to the Kindergarten playground.
When the bell rings at 8:45 a.m., staff will organize students by grade outside (*weather permitting, in the gym will be the alternative) and bring them into the gym for O Canada, prayers and a brief welcome. Class lists will then be called by each classroom teacher and everyone will head to their new class.
Students will be coming home with a number of information items including the calendar for the year, forms for food and milk orders, permission forms, information update forms, etc. Please complete and return as soon as possible. Your child will also have an agenda that we are asking $3.50 for in order to help cover the cost. The agenda is an invaluable tool for communicating back and forth between home and school.
JK Students
All parents of JK students are reminded of the JK Open House on Wednesday September 6th from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the kindergarten room. JKs have various entry dates between Thursday September 7 - Friday September 8 and you should have received a note over the summer indicating your child's start date. If not, please call the school and we can provide you with that information.
Newsletters
All families will receive a paper copy of the September 2017 newsletter by the end of the first week of school. It is packed with information so we do ask that you read it carefully. After that, most communication will be sent electronically.
